Knitting with Nettles

I created the world’s first knitted garment made from stinging nettles as a one-off commission. Working in collaboration with the university’s science department, we developed a functional yarn, which I then designed into a finished outfit. The piece went on to tour fairs and universities, and was featured on national television including The One Show and local news, showcased as an innovative example of sustainable design using natural, locally sourced materials.
